Privacy Policy

1. Data Processing Purposes

The app processes information for camera-based pose detection, exercise record storage, ranking services (optional Google Sign-In), notifications, screen recording (optional), and app improvement analytics.

2. Data Types Collected

• Camera data — processed on-device only, never stored or transmitted
• Google account info — optional, for rankings only
• Exercise records — stored locally on your device; also stored on Firebase server when participating in rankings
• App settings — stored locally on your device
• Health & fitness data — weight, calorie goals, and exercise records stored locally; excluded from cloud backup
• Usage analytics — screen views, game events, and app interactions (see Section 5)
• Advertising data — ad display and interaction data (see Section 6)

3. Retention & Deletion

Camera data is processed in real-time memory only and immediately discarded. Local data persists until user reset or uninstall. Server data remains until account deletion. Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention policies.

4. Screen Recording

In Athlete Mode, you may optionally record your training sessions. Recordings are saved locally on your device (Movies/JRC/ folder) and are never uploaded to any server. Microphone audio may be included if you enable it. You have full control over recording and can delete files at any time.

5. Analytics (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve our services. Data collected includes screen views, game start/completion events, badge unlocks, settings changes, and navigation patterns. This data is anonymous and does not identify you personally.

Opt-out: You can disable analytics at any time in Settings > Privacy > Usage Analytics.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays banner and interstitial advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data. For users in the EU/EEA, personalized ads are shown only after GDPR consent is obtained through the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP).

Opt-out: EU/EEA users can manage ad privacy preferences in Settings > Privacy > Ad Privacy Settings. Pro subscribers have all ads removed.

7. Third-Party Services

No data is sold or transferred. The app integrates the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, rankings, analytics
• Google AdMob — advertisements
• Google Play Billing — subscription management

8. Safety Measures

Camera images are never stored or transmitted. Local data uses private app storage. Health and fitness data is excluded from cloud backup. Server communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. Firebase security rules restrict access.

9. User Rights

You may view records, reset local data, delete your account, sign out, disable analytics, manage ad privacy preferences, or request deletion via email. EU/EEA users have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, and erase personal data.

10. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@formmarker.com and we will delete it. The Google UMP consent form is configured with tagForUnderAgeOfConsent set to false.

11. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

The app provides exercise tracking for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice. Calorie calculations are estimates only. Consult a healthcare provider before starting any exercise program.
